Recovery from Trauma

cropped-pauline-jurkevicius-762705-unsplash-5.jpgDr. Rubinstein offers groups that focus on Mindfulness/Relaxation and Recovery from Trauma. These groups are part educational and part process.  In the Recovery from Trauma group, participants learn about how the body and mind respond to trauma, and what may trigger them, even years after the traumatic event has occurred. This safe space is also used to begin to process what makes recovery difficult, and how they can better address their current situation.  During the Mindfulness/Recovery Group, participants learn about the mind-body connection.  They also learn how to take better care of themselves and in doing so become more in control of their lives.
